I know I’ve mentioned how cool it is to be welcomed into these precious early moments with families — from the first days at home with a newborn to birthday parties, engagement shoots and maternity shoots — but this particular session with the newly minted “Big Sis” Emmy and her beautiful “Baby Sis” Juliet was a first for me.
It was incredibly special to witness this brief period where Emmy was just learning what it means to be a big sister — and to know that for the rest of her life, she would not really remember a time without her. It’s a challenging and exciting transition for any kid, but I get the feeling that this bubbly little girl is going to excel in her new role. She fawned over her baby sister, delighted in being able to hold her and essentially whirled around the apartment the whole shoot — keeping us all laughing throughout the morning!
